Our Story and Team at Morgan Morrow
Our Story
While working in corporate accounting, Catherine began helping small business owners on the side. What started as a small side business quickly grew to the point where she faced a decision: remain in the corporate world or fully commit to supporting entrepreneurs and growing businesses.
She found herself drawn to the grit, creativity, determination, and problem-solving abilities of small business owners. More than anything, she loved helping business owners feel less stress as financial systems became more organized, understandable, and manageable.
Today, Catherine leads a small team of experienced accounting professionals at Morgan Morrow, all committed to the same mission of making the financial side of running a business feel less intimidating and more like the support system it should be.
"The most rewarding part of this work is watching the stress begin to melt away as business owners realize their accounting systems can actually support them instead of overwhelm them."
Catherine Dameron, Founder

Putting a Face to the Name
The people behind Morgan Morrow are what make it different. A small, experienced team rooted in NC, committed to making the financial side of your business feel manageable.
Catherine Dameron
Catherine‘s path to Morgan Morrow started long before the firm had its current name. In 2008 she began building what would become her life’s work, starting as Dameron Resources while working in corporate accounting from 2014 to 2019. By 2019 she had made the decision to commit fully to serving small business owners, rebranding as Morgan Morrow and never looking back.
What drives her is straightforward. She believes every business owner deserves to understand their numbers, not just hand them off to someone else and hope for the best. That conviction is woven into everything Morgan Morrow does.
When she is not working Catherine can most often be found with her grandkids. Whether it is trampoline sessions in the backyard or swim time at the pool introducing her young grandchildren to water one splash at a time, family time is where she recharges. The highlight of her year is summertime on a lake where slalom skiing and wake surfing are her favorites along with the excitement of teaching others to wakeboard and wake surf.
Faith and community are at the center of Catherine’s life. She and her husband host a weekly small group for couples in their 20s and 30s in their home and she brings that same spirit of genuine care to every client relationship.

Morgan Early
Morgan is quite literally part of the foundation of this firm. She is the Morgan in Morgan Morrow and has been working alongside Catherine as time allows since her high school days. That kind of history builds something you cannot manufacture; deep trust, seamless communication and a shared commitment to doing things right.
After high school Morgan went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University and then her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Campbell University.
Earning a doctorate is no small feat and it speaks directly to her discipline, her intelligence and her ability to master complex systems. Though she now works as a licensed physical therapist, her love for the work at Morgan Morrow keeps her connected to the firm in a meaningful way.
On the days that she switches hats from physical therapist to accountant she can be found handling bookkeeping for some of our most complex accounts. She brings a kind, positive energy to everything she does and has an uncanny ability to cut right through the clutter and noise to find the source of an issue. Her contagious smile has a way of making even the most stressful financial conversation feel manageable.
Outside of work Morgan and her husband are both proud ECU Pirates through and through. They are raising two wonderful girls and their family can regularly be found in Greenville cheering on ECU baseball and football. Faith and family are at the heart of everything she does.

Morgan Morrow’s Full Cycle Support for Our Clients
Starting a new business or launching a new side gig?
We offer QuickBooks setup tailored to your business. After setup, we help new business owners with the nuances of entering transactions into QuickBooks while giving guidance on accounting best practices. This early learning allows new business owners to more intricately understand the health of their business as it grows.
Too busy running your business to tackle bookkeeping?
We can help with whatever tasks our busy business owners find most taxing. Most find our core services helpful, including processing bank feeds (financial transactions), reconciling bank statements and producing monthly financial reports. The monthly reports prompt busy owners to pause and look at their current business trends for forecasting and pivots. We also help with accounts payable, accounts receivable and more.
Are you ready to hire someone in-house for your bookkeeping?
It is common for your clients to see significant growth when working with us. As businesses grow, so does the time it takes to process business bookkeeping. Eventually, it makes sense for businesses to hire in-house staff to handle their bookkeeping duties. Once the new staff member is hired, we can provide one-on-one training and support, making the transition from Morgan Morrow Bookkeeping to their in-house staff as seamless and effortless as possible.
With Morgan Morrow, you only pay for the services you need when you need them. If you are in the process of determining business needs, we offer free consultations where questions are asked to help determine the next best steps.
